Renowned for outstanding natural beauty, Llangedwyn lies on the Tanat Valley near the Shropshire/ Mid Wales border around 5 miles from the town of Llanfyllin and around 10 miles from the market town, Oswestry. The educational facilities in the area include The Llangedwyn Church in Wales Primary School, which is located in the centre of the village, with other educational facilities available in the neighbouring towns of Oswestry and Llanfyllin, such as Nurseries, Primary, Secondary, Sixth Form and Private schools. Llangedwyn and nearby villages, which boast an excellent community spirit are home to a post office, medical centre, butcher, local convenience store and revolves around the local pub The Green Inn which is a delightful charming public house, which features a wealth of history and dates back to circa 1740.The Tanat Valley is on the Wales/England border and the Berwyn mountain range is within easy travelling distance. From Shrewsbury: take the A5 towards Oswestry, continue along the dual carriage way bypass until you come to the roundabout, turn left signposted Knockin. Continue on through the village of Knockin and on towards Llnclys. On reaching the crossroads go straight over on to A495 sign posted Llanrhaeadr YM. Continue for about 7 miles on the A495 which become B4396. You will be passing Llanyblodwel and Penybont. Turn right at the Green Inn, fork right up the hill for about half mile then first left sign posted Briw. Continue on this lane for 1 3/4 miles until you reach a crossroad, continue over the crossroads and Hazelwood just on your left..

From Oswestry: take the A483 towards Welshpool, turn right at the Llynclys crossroad on to the A495 sign posted Llanrhaedr. Follow the direction thereafter given above.
